Omega Cosmic 2486 – Moonphase Jumbo – 1950 / A Complicated Classic in rose gold plated
The Omega Cosmic was introduced in 1947 as the most prestigious model in Omega’s post-war catalogue — and this Reference 2486 shows exactly why. Housed in a rare 37 mm rose gold plated case, it features a complete calendar with moonphase complication, powered by the revered Caliber 381, based on a Lemania ébauche.
The elegant dial showcases day and month windows at the top (Italian language wheels), a moonphase within the sub-seconds at six, and a vibrant blue date track encircling the design. Combined with rose gold hands, a blue date hand, and the warm patina of time, this piece has undeniable charisma.
Preserved in beautiful original condition, this Cosmic wears large, both in size and presence. For collectors of vintage complication watches, this one is pure stardust.
