Are your vintage watches authentic?
Every GOLDAMMER watch is guaranteed authentic, retaining its original parts unless otherwise noted.
Are the watches serviced?
Yes, all watches are professionally checked and serviced if needed to ensure perfect condition.
Do the watches come with a warranty?
Each watch includes a one-year mechanical warranty. Find our full terms of warranty here below point 8.
What comes with my watch?
Your watch arrives in a black piano lacquer box with our GOLDAMMER certificate of authenticity and GOLDAMMER service documentation card.
Where do you source your watches?
Our watches come from Europe’s biggest fairs and most trusted dealers.
Do you take requests for specific watches?
No we don’t source watches on behalf. Our collection is carefully curated for its unique character.
Can I try on a watch in person?
We operate exclusively online and visiting or picking up watches in person is not possible.
Are prices including VAT and is it refundable, when I’m ordering from outside the EU?
All prices on the website are the total price no matter from where you order. All watches are preowned items which apply to differential taxation, which means that there is no VAT on the invoice declared and tax refund is not possible.
Orders & Payment
How do I place an order?
Simply follow our streamlined checkout process in our shop with various payment options. For direct payment by wire bank transfer please contact us by email.
Can I reserve a watch?
Watches are available for immediate purchase only, first come first serve.
How can I stay updated on new releases?
Every Thursday we drop new classics. Subscribe to our email list for early access to new arrivals.
Shipping, Handling & Customs
How much is shipping?
We offer free insured express shipping on all orders.
How long does shipping take?
Orders placed on business days (Mon. – Fri.) will be handled and shipped within one business day when delivery address is inside the EU. Shipments to outside the EU need one additional business day for customs papers before they are ready to ship. You’ll receive tracking information via Email to follow your delivery.
Shipments to inside the EU take usually 1-2 business days to arrive.
To outside the EU it takes usually 5-10 days. Exact time of delivery is depending on customs.
Any delays caused by customs clearance are not in our responsibility. The tracking details provided will help you monitor your shipment’s progress.
Is my watch insured during shipping?
Yes, every order is fully insured during transit, at no extra cost to you.
Do I need to pay customs fees or import taxes?
If your shipping address is outside the EU, you are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or other import fees. Please check with your local customs office for specific information regarding any additional costs.
What if the watch is damaged during shipping?
If there’s any damage in transit, please report it immediately to GOLDAMMER within 3 days including a detailed description of the issue.
Returns & Refunds
I did not fall in love with my purchase, can I return it?
Yes, you can return your purchase within 14 days of receipt. The 14-day period starts from the day you or an authorized recipient receives the item.
How do I initiate a return?
To initiate a return, please reach out to GOLDAMMER with your order details and reason for the return. We’ll provide you with further instructions on how to complete the return.
When do I receive my refund?
You will receive your refund once we have received the returned item. The time it takes to process your refund depends on your original payment method:
- Credit/Debit Cards: Refunds can take 5-10 business days to show on your statement.
- Bank Transfers: This might take several business days due to bank processing times.

Can I wear my vintage watch daily?
Yes, many of our customers enjoy wearing their vintage watches daily. However, vintage watches require special care – avoid water exposure and high-impact activities. You will find useful videos how to care and clean your vintage beauty on our YouTube channel.
How often should I service my watch?
Vintage watches should be serviced every 3-5 years to maintain accuracy and longevity.
How should I store my vintage watch?
Store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, ideally in its box or a designated watch case.
What if my watch needs repair after the warranty period?
If your watch requires servicing after the warranty period, please reach out to us or seek the expertise of a reputable independent watchmaker familiar with vintage watches.
How do I wind a manual watch?
Place the watch on a soft surface, turn the crown clockwise until you feel resistance (usually around 20-40 turns), and avoid overwinding. Setting the time can be done by pulling the crown to its fully extended position and adjusting the hands.

What does “vintage watch” mean?
A vintage watch typically refers to a timepiece that is at least 20 years old but not yet antique (which is generally over 100 years old). Vintage watches are cherished for their classic style and collectible value.
What’s the difference between manual, automatic, and quartz-powered watches?
Manual watches require daily winding, automatic watches self-wind with the movement of your wrist, and quartz watches operate on battery power.
Do you also sell watches for woman?
All our watches are without gender tag and wearable for man and woman. Vintage watches in general are smaller sized than modern watches. So they very charming on smaller woman wrists too.
How to find the right size for my wrist?
Measure your wrist with a flexible tape measure or a piece of string. Vintage watches are often smaller than modern ones, so compare the wrist size of the hand model in our product photos to get a sense of fit.

I have a vintage watch. Do you give estimates on watches and value statements?
Thats a service we don´t provide. We don’t give estimates on watches that are not ours and we can’t check by our own hands and eyes. Also we can’t make valid statements by just looking at pictures. We recommend to contact a trusted watchmaker near you.
