Omega Cosmic 2485 – Moonphase Jumbo – 1947 / A Complicated Classic in 18k Gold
The Omega Cosmic was introduced in 1947 as the most prestigious model in Omega’s post-war catalogue — and this early Reference 2485 shows exactly why. Housed in a rare 37 mm 18k yellow gold case, it features a complete calendar with moonphase complication, powered by the revered Caliber 381, based on a Lemania ébauche.
The elegant dial showcases day and month windows at the top (Spanish language wheels), a moonphase within the sub-seconds at six, and a vibrant blue date track encircling the design. Combined with gold hands, a blue date hand, and the warm patina of time, this piece has undeniable charisma.
Preserved in beautiful original condition and unpolished, this Cosmic wears large, both in size and presence. For collectors of vintage complication watches, this one is pure stardust.
