Launched in 1957, the 9P caliber was groundbreaking for 2 reasons: standing at 2 mm, it was the thinnest manual-wound movement ever made for wristwatches, and its 20.5 mm diameter was much larger than the standard, therefore allowing for larger cases.
Its slimness was not only a technical accomplishment, it also allowed the manufacture to fit dials made of hard stones while retaining a thin profile, like this flawless 18k Piaget with a blue Lapis Lazuli stone dial and 18k Hobnail case which comes with the original Piaget leather strap and 18k yellow gold Piaget buckle.
