When todays Reference 4100 - the third iteration of AP’s iconic sports watch - was launched in 1977, it was the first to feature a central seconds hand and, at 35mm, was designed for those who found the jumbo models too big.
This 18k 35mm reference 4100BA is in a condition that will make any collector sweat. The black petit-tapisserie dial, made by Stern, bears the old-style Audemars Piguet signature and is in fantastic condition. The case has the correct winding crown without the logo. The bracelet is in good condition and fits a wrist of up to 18.5 cm. The watch has the caliber 2123, a modified Jaeger-LeCoultre movement, as is often the case with AP.
Our particular Reference 4100BA features a 35mm solid yellow gold case with a sapphire crystal, an unsigned crown, a polished gold bezel, and a grey colored hobnail dial with a yellow gold 'stick' handset.
