Parisian Precision, Wrapped in Gold.
A rare Cartier Ceinture 78099 Paris with MK3 “Paris” dial and manual-wound movement.
With its distinctive square case and clipped corners, the Cartier Ceinturereimagines the elegance of the belt buckle (“ceinture” in French) into a piece of horological sculpture. This 27 mm version — the larger of two reissues in the early 1970s — is the desirable “PARIS” dial variant, a hallmark that signifies it was sold through Cartier’s original Paris flagship.
The white MK3 dial, untouched with a touch of gentle patina, is complemented by classic blued steel hands and the Cartier-signed crown, preserving the iconic design language of the maison. Crafted from solid 18k yellow gold and in superb condition, it’s a wearable statement of both precision and Parisian flair.
Rarely do Cartier pieces with the “Paris” dial and case signature surface, and they continue to grow in desirability among collectors.
A true 1970s icon. Understated. Unmistakably Cartier.
