Mid-century design meets modern presence.
This rare IWC Caliber 89 dress watch from 1960 offers an exceptional blend of understated sophistication and striking case architecture. Crafted in 18k rose gold, the standout feature is undoubtedly the sculptural “shark fin” lugs, lending a bold, architectural touch to the clean, minimalist aesthetic.
At 37 mm, this piece was considered oversized in its time — and remains perfectly proportioned for modern tastes today. The white/silver dial with a classic 12-3-6-9 layout and original hands and crown has developed a subtle, even patina that adds vintage character without compromising legibility.
Powered by the legendary IWC Cal. 89, a hand-wound movement celebrated for its robustness and precision, this timepiece is more than a design object — it’s a mechanical icon.
