The Polerouter was produced in 1954 by Universal Genève in partnership with Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) by a then 24-year-old Gerald Genta. Universal Genève developed the automatic Polerouter to be more resistant to the strong magnetic fields at the North and South poles.
The version you see here is one of the rarest versions you can find: the "Compact". Its fittet with a stunning silver sunburst dial in flawless condition, hour markers with onyx inlay and a slight round shape to the edge. Overall, this is a beautiful designed watch with a rich aviation history.
