The Polerouter was produced in 1954 by Universal Genève in partnership with Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) by a then 24-year-old Gerald Genta. Universal Genève developed the automatic Polerouter to be more resistant to the strong magnetic fields at the North and South poles.
The version you see here is gold-plated stainless steel with a stunning champagne dial with cross hair layout and golden chapter ring. Special on this one is the rarely seen herringbone metal bracelet (made in USA)
Overall, this is a beautiful designed watch with a rich aviation history and stunning microtor movement.
