The Polerouter was produced in 1954 by Universal Genève in partnership with Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) by a then 24-year-old Gerald Genta. Universal Genève developed the automatic Polerouter to be more resistant to the strong magnetic fields at the North and South poles.
The version you see here is stainless steel with a silver colored dial with some beautiful developed patina which reminds you of the surface of the moon. The mirrored steel chapter ring is in great condition. Overall, this is a beautiful designed watch with a rich aviation history and stunning microtor movement.
